For many young athletes Memorial Day was always a soccer weekend for tournaments in Metro West.  For local baseball players it was time to start thinking that the competitive summer season was just weeks away and that they cannot wait to play other local town teams.  Well that all changed five years ago as Winning Pitchers Baseball Academy hosted the first Memorial Day Invitational Tournament on the baseball fields of Holliston.  Players from all the surrounding towns came together and were placed on mixed all star level teams and then coached and instructed by Winning Pitchers Trainers.  No father coaches……they really just enjoyed sitting for a change and watching quality baseball. The very best of the local pitching with solid defense facing the best hitters all having fun playing great baseball. 

This started a tradition of Memorial Day being a baseball weekend in Holliston and Metro West.  We thank all the local player alumni and families that have made this the great tradition it has become. The tournament has expanded each year with games for 12U on the Flagg Field and 15U on the Adams School field. 

We look forward to another great Winning Pitchers Memorial Day Tournament in 2009!
